Meet the Cordova Twins

The Cordova Twins:

Jordan (pronounced JOR-den, in Biblical & English derived from (yarad) meaning "descend" or "flow down". It is also the name of the river which flows between the countries of Jordan and Israel where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist).

Jacob (pronounced JAY-kep, in English and Biblical means "holder of the heel" or "supplanter", and (Ya'aqov'el) meaning "may God protect". In the Old Testament, Jacob (later called Israel) was the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel)

Jacob & Jordan Update 3-13-10

Family, Friends, Prayer Warriors,

We have officially hit the three pound mark for Jacob! See below!

Not only is that beyond awesome, Jacob is also doing his father's family proud by sporting his new A&M socks (provided by Aunt Connie, Uncle John, Susan and Colby)! He is certainly on the right track!

Jacob's official report for the day is:
3 lbs. 0 oz.
1 brady episodes
0 desats
21% Room Air on the nasal cannula, with 1 liter flow
26 CC's of fortified milk
3 dirty diapers
4 wet diapers

Jordan continues to progress well also! She is still on the CPAP, but at the lowest setting, so that is a definite moving forward. We think the biggest contributory to her going back and forth from the CPAP is due to Premature Acid Reflux. She will have an official test next week, and then probably start her on medication to help her overcome it.

Jordan's official report for today is:
3 lbs. 14.6 oz (almost to 4 lbs.! Go baby go!)
4% CPAP 21% Room Air
34 CC's milk
0 dirty diapers
4 wet diapers
0 brady episode
0 desat

Thank you for all of your love, prayers and thoughts! More progress reports soon!

Kind regards,

The Cordova Family (Andy, Sheri, Jacob & Jordan)

It's been a crazy weekend, but we were there today with all of the family and we got your super sweet gift for Lawson--you are too sweet to do that! Thank you so much! We miss you guys, but I will drop in tomorrow to say hello and I can take you to Peyton's new room too if you want :) See you soon!
