Meet the Cordova Twins

The Cordova Twins:

Jordan (pronounced JOR-den, in Biblical & English derived from (yarad) meaning "descend" or "flow down". It is also the name of the river which flows between the countries of Jordan and Israel where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist).

Jacob (pronounced JAY-kep, in English and Biblical means "holder of the heel" or "supplanter", and (Ya'aqov'el) meaning "may God protect". In the Old Testament, Jacob (later called Israel) was the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel)

I'm sure everyone has noticed the delay in daily reporting lately for the blog. My apologies, but it is getting more difficult to get the numbers from the nurse staff we have on night shift (and it is getting more difficult to wait until midnight or sometimes 1 am to get the overall day assessments). This has never been a problem for our primarys; they understand that we report this to ya'll, so they give us the information as soon as they get in and can do their assessments, but right now there is a greater frequency that all of the nurse staff is being asked to take more personal days or shift to other floors due to the shortage of babies in each of their pods (I guess the slow economy is hitting more than just the job market). In the meantime, Sheri and I are looking into getting an additional nightly primary for the days Melinda is unable to work. I know you read this too Melinda, so please don't think that Sheri and I are unhappy with you in any way! We love having you, we just want to get someone in there to help you out when you get bumped! (Melinda, if you can recommend someone you trust, please let us know next time you are back)

More as it develops! Thank you for all of your love, prayers and thoughts! More progress reports soon!

Kind regards,

The Cordova Family (Andy, Sheri, Jacob & Jordan)
