Another day comes and goes as we draw closer to the twins term date of April 8. For their progress, today was a good day for the both of them with very little issues. The big changes to note for each were:
Jacob - 2 lbs. 13 oz (he lost an oz. from yesterday)
nasal cannula levels were between 21-25% FIO2
his cc's of milk are the same as yesterday, but now are fortified
0 brady episodes
1 desat
he had 5 wet and 5 dirty diapers for the day.
The rest of his stats remained the same from yesterday; 1 liter flow, 1 CC's residuals, 6 mg. daily caffeine, no nose bleeds, no bloody stools.
Jordan maintained her progress as well. Changes to her progress stats included:
- had to go back on CPAP tonight as a result of too many brady cardia episodes (10 total for the day)
- 5% CPAP 21% Room Air
- now 3 lbs. 7 oz.
- 5 wet diapers
- 1 dirty diaper
- 8 mg. caffeine
the rest of her stats remained the same from yesterday; 31 CC's fortified milk, 1 CC residuals.
As I have mentioned previously, the babies will slip back in some areas as they work through their prematurity. Perfectly normal. They will get there; thanks to ours and your love and prayers.
