Meet the Cordova Twins

The Cordova Twins:

Jordan (pronounced JOR-den, in Biblical & English derived from (yarad) meaning "descend" or "flow down". It is also the name of the river which flows between the countries of Jordan and Israel where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist).

Jacob (pronounced JAY-kep, in English and Biblical means "holder of the heel" or "supplanter", and (Ya'aqov'el) meaning "may God protect". In the Old Testament, Jacob (later called Israel) was the son of Isaac and Rebecca and the father of the twelve founders of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was born holding his twin brother Esau's heel)

Jacob & Jordan Update 3-7-10

Family, Friends, Prayer Warriors,

Sorry for being so long until posting everyone; Sheri and I took some much needed time to catch up on some sleep this weekend, amiss everything else, it was just something that was long overdue. So the blogging took a backseat. On a positive note, the kids had a good weekend with no outrageous difficulties. Today:

Jacob is weighing at 2 lbs. 14 oz., getting 16 cc's of plain milk, has had 5 wet diapers, 3 dirty diapers, is at a Nasal Cannula rate of 25% FIO2. His TPN level is 2.1 and his lipids are at .5. He is still on the 6 mg. caffeine, and one liter flow.

Jordan is weighing 3 lbs. 7 oz, is getting 31 CC's of fortified milk, has had no residuals, has had 4 wet diapers and 1 dirty diaper, is on 25% FIO2 Nasal Cannula, is getting 7.5 mg. of daily caffeine and is also on 1 liter flow. Also, as I mentioned yesterday, Jordan was introduced to the baby bottle. She is struggling a little bit, but is making good progress. The process is to see how much she can take in a 30 minute time frame, and whatever is left is fed to her through the feeding tube. She really is coming along!

I collected a ton of pictures from my family this weekend that I need to sort through and upload to the blog. With it being a busy weekend for us, I need to organize them, which I hope to have for you to look at this week.

Thank you all for your support! I'll report more soon!

Kind regards,

The Cordova Family (Andy, Sheri, Jacob & Jordan)
